Mother Lode Friends of Music is proud to present the first concert of their 2026 season with an engaging performance by Trio 180, Sunday, March 22, 3:00 pm at the Sutter Creek Theater.
Come, shake off the doldrums of winter and embrace springtime with this talented ensemble that includes celebrated concert violinist Ann Miller, renowned cellist Vicky Wang, and award-winning pianist Sonia Leong.
Trio 180 performs a wide range of music from the Classical era to the present and is an active advocate of new music. The trio has been featured at Chamber Music America’s National Conference in New York, as well as the Music Teachers’ Association of California’s Annual Convention. It has toured Canada and Mexico and presented numerous performances for Composers Inc., in San Francisco and Berkeley. It has given concerts at Del Valle Fine Arts (Livermore); the Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento); the Mondavi Center (Davis); the Sundays Live series (Los Angeles County Museum), and Old First Concerts (San Francisco).
Their program on March 22 will include Saans (Breath) by Reena Esmail; Trio (1921) for Violin, Cello, and Piano by Rebecca Clarke; Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 32 by Anton Arensky, and Elegie by Josef Suk.
