At just seven years old\, he picked up his first guitar and by 14\, he was already earning his stripes with paid gigs in bars\, nightclubs\, fairs\, and festivals across the Pacific Northwest. Dean even brought a slice of home to our troops through USO tours in the US\, Far East\, Caribbean\, and South Pacific. \nIn 1994\, inspired by Garth Brooks’ reign on the charts\, Dean set out to create an authentic tribute to this modern country icon. Through meticulous study of concert footage\, he not only mastered Garth’s music but also his signature mannerisms—the walk\, the talk\, the laugh\, and the undeniable ability to engage with an audience. This dedication led him to Las Vegas in 1995\, where he aimed to bring his vision to life. \nIn 1996\, Dean’s talent was recognized by producer John Stuart\, who hired him for the acclaimed “Legends in Concert” in Las Vegas\, as well as performances in Myrtle Beach\, Atlantic City\, and various tours across the USA and Canada. He later produced his own 90-minute show\, earning the moniker “The Garth Guy.” In 2014\, Dean’s remarkable “GarthGuy” show was showcased on the national television series “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” on AXS TV\, further solidifying his reputation. \nWith national tours in Australia in 2017 and 2023\, Dean has amassed over 5\,000 live performances in his 30-year career\, making him the most experienced Garth Brooks tribute artist in the world.
